SUMMARY:Assessing Your Communities Environmental Status
DESCRIPTION:Assessing Your Communities Environmental Status\n\nLearn about local environmental issues at the Glenview Village Hall from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Beginning with a discussion on the use of coal tar sealants within our communities\, we ask you to join us in evaluating the pros and cons of their continued use. An outcome may be a proposal suggesting a village-wide ban on coal tar sealants. \n\nAdditional issues include the impact of idling vehicles on our air quality\, the "watershed literacy" initiative\, developed by the Lake Michigan Region (LWVLMR) Interleague Organization and the Upper Mississippi River (UMMR) Region InterLeague Organization\, and other topics as time permits.\n\nCome learn about the status of these efforts. If you have an interest\, concerns\, or an idea about a local environmental issue\, bring it to the meeting. The League of Women Voters Glenview / Glencoe will be presenting this program. It will at the Glenview Village Hall\, 2500 E Lake Street\, Glenview\, Thursday\, January 26\, 2017. For further information contact Sheri Latash at LWVGlens@gmail.com.
