YES (YMCA Education Series): Solo Aging, by Choice or by Chance
Nearly 26 million Americans 50 or older now live alone, up from 15 million in 2000. Further, a growing number of older adults — about 1 in 6 Americans 55 and older — do not have children. This program will address the following questions: • How does one learn to embrace solo aging? • How can I stay connected and explore new interests? • How do I ask for support? • What do I need to know to retain control as I age?
