In 1935, restaurant owner Gus Poulos crafted his first batch of rich, creamy homemade ice cream — a flavor so unique it quickly became the talk of Chicago’s North Shore.
What began as a tiny two-table parlor soon turned into a local legend. Generations later, Homer's is still serving ice cream at its original Wilmette location at 1237 Green Bay Road — where it all began.
