Lend a Hand, Change a Community: Glenview Volunteer Fair on March 7

Glenview Public Library and Glenview Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, March 7, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Glenview Public Library, 1930 Glenview Road, Community Room, Glenview.

This event provides a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages and abilities to discover volunteer opportunities within their community. From students to professionals and retirees, everyone is welcome to explore ways to make a positive impact. Attendees can connect directly with local organizations and nonprofits offering volunteer opportunities in various fields. According to Linda Sawyer, Deputy Director of Library Services, “The Volunteer Fair is about celebrating service and connecting people with opportunities to make a difference. Volunteering strengthens our community by supporting organizations that serve our neighbors every day.”

The fair aims to strengthen community bonds and empower individuals to give back to the community. “Glenview is a community of service. ” said Meghan Kearney, Executive Director, Glenview Chamber of Commerce, “We have a wide variety of organizations that need volunteer support to exist so we wanted to create an impactful event to serve the community.”

Admission is free, and all community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about volunteer openings and find ways to give back through service. For more information, please visit glenviewpl.org or call the Library at 847.729.7500.
