Residents Asked to Join Discussion About the Future of the Kindergarten Program
Over the past several months, the Glenview District 34 Kindergarten Committee has been
meeting to determine whether there is an educational need that would warrant changes to
the district’s current model and the feasibility of implementing those changes.
As part of this work, it is critical that the district understand the community's values about
the fiscal responsibility associated with achieving an optimized kindergarten program. This
feedback will be used to better inform and help shape the committee's work as it develops a
final set of options for the Board of Education to evaluate in May.
District 34 will be hosting two community engagement sessions, which will take place on the
following dates and times:
• 7-9 pm on Tuesday, January 12 at Attea Middle School, 2500 Chestnut Avenue
• 12:30-2:30 pm on Tuesday, January 26 at the Glenview Park Center, 2400 Chestnut
Avenue
