Please Join Us On Sunday, May 22, 2016 for the complimentary premiere screening of the new WTTW documentary film HEROES ON DECK: WWII ON LAKE MICHIGAN from filmmakers John Davies, Harvey Moshman and Brian Kallies HEROES ON DECK chronicles the pivotal role Naval Air Station Glenview and the City of Chicago played in a very vital chapter of Americas military history. Featuring never-before-seen de-classified footage, interviews with the heroes who served and recovery footage of the planes resting on the bottom of Lake Michigan, HEROES ON DECK tells the little-known story of the Navy's carrier pilot training operation that took place just off the Chicago shoreline and changed the course of WWII.
