Glenview Community Church Hosts 11th anniversary Concert for Peace on Sunday, March 16
The Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm Street, hosts its 11th anniversary concert exploring the theme of peace, “Concert for Peace: Justice”, on Sunday, March 16, at 3:00 p.m. Violinists Katherine Hughes and Carol Kalvonjian, violist Ray Ostwald, cellist Matthew Agnew, saxophonist Kevin Kizer, organist Gary Wendt, jazz vocalist Jade Maze, and the rhythm section of Fred Simon, Ken Haebich, and Neal Wehman perform songs about peace in a variety of styles, from traditional to contemporary. The ensemble will play original pieces by both Fred Simon and Ken Haebich. Members of the Glenview Community Church Chancel Choir and the First Congregational Choir of Wilmette will sing.
