The Geraghty North Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chicago Area, responsible for driving sales growth and client relationships for events at The Geraghty and related venues. The Sales Manager will proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage a sales pipeline, prepare proposals, and conduct client presentations that highlight Kehoe Designs’ event décor and design capabilities. This role involves regular client meetings, venue walk-throughs, and close collaboration with design, production, and operations teams to ensure proposals are feasible and events are executed to a high standard. The Sales Manager will negotiate contracts, track revenue goals, and maintain accurate sales reports and forecasts. Day-to-day responsibilities also include responding to inquiries, providing timely follow-up, representing the company at industry events, and upholding the brand and service standards.

Qualifications

  • Sales and business development skills, including prospecting, relationship building, and closing deals in event, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Account management and client service skills, with experience managing multiple clients and projects while maintaining high responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Event and venue knowledge, including familiarity with event timelines, production requirements, and collaboration with creative and operations teams.
  • Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create persuasive proposals and present concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Organizational and planning skills, including pipeline management, forecasting, and attention to detail in contracts and documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chicago Area, including occasional evening or weekend availability based on event and client needs.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation software) for tracking leads and preparing materials.
  • Experience in luxury events, design, hospitality, or a related creative services environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, respectful collaboration with colleagues and partners.
