Live Music, Local Flavor, and Family Fun Shine at Glenview’s 50th Summer Fest
 

The excitement is building as Glenview prepares to host its 50th annual downtown Summer Fest! Get ready for a weekend of fun, food, and festivities as the big event draws near. Don't miss out on the celebration! This perennial Glenview favorite event takes place Saturday, June 13th, bringing in 90+ exciting vendors including food vendors, booths, free games, health services, home enhancements, and a range of delectable foods & beverages for every taste bud! This event comes to life on two village blocks of Lehigh, from Glenview Road to Washington, welcoming thousands of Glenview friends and families for a full day to remember! 
 
Summer Fest Day is from 9am – 3pm, and features a variety of local businesses, services and unique products – including a special kids’ area with balloon artists, carnival-style games,  face painting, fire pole and much more – making it a full, best-of-Glenview day to remember!  “As we celebrate this golden anniversary, we honor the generations of vendors, volunteers, community leaders and visitors who have helped make Summer Fest a vibrant and lasting part of downtown Glenview’s history,” says Glenview Chamber Executive Director, Meghan Kearney.  “New this year are popular games like pickleball, bags and mahjong where attendees can test their skills and play for free along with demonstrations of jiu jitsu and a children’s concert performance. Back after a warm response last year, a pet adoption area where attendees can meet and greet lovable dogs looking for their forever homes,” she shared.
 
At 6pm, the street fair transforms into Summer Fest After Sunset Music Fest! Free to the public, showcasing local festival favorite headliner SODA and opening act Liz Berg Duo  to keep the energy flowing with play for thousands of music fest aficionados young and old!
 
“Summer Fest After Sunset  will have amazing food vendors, Beer, Wine and Seltzer including COORS LIGHT and more will be available for purchase during the outdoor evening show.  As a free public event, with a door donation benefiting Northfield Township Food Pantry, Summer Fest and Summer Fest After Sunset are funded by our generous Chamber sponsors, including:  Busey Bank, Coors Light, RJ Bullion, J. Blanton Plumbing, Joseph Mullarkey Distributors, Lynch McPeek of Clarity Wealth,  Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, Glenview Junior Titans and R&J Liquors.
